Bingo Bulletin

This bulletin is to advise all bingo facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Commercial Bingo Handbook (CBH). The following policies are effective August 27, 2024.
In keeping with Government of Alberta's red tape reduction initiatives, the amended policies provide industry stakeholders with increased flexibility and efficiency in conducting bingo events in Alberta.
AGLC is committed to regularly reviewing its policies to better meet the needs of bingo stakeholders, while maintaining an effective regulatory environment. As a result, policy amendments have been made to Sections of the CBH as follows:
- Section 1.1
- Sections 3.3 and 3.6
- Sections 4.3 and 4.4
- Sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.5
- Section 7.2
- Sections 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7, 8.8, 8.9, 8.10, and 8.11

As a result of the review, amendments were also made to the Commercial Bingo Rules of Play and House Rules where required to align with the CBH policy changes.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Commercial Bing Handbook as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.
