Casino Bulletin

April 1, 2025

This bulletin is to advise all casino facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (CTCOG). The following policies are effective April 1, 2025.

AGLC is committed to reviewing policies to meet the needs of stakeholders, while maintaining an effective regulatory environment. As a result, policy amendments have been made to Section 17 of the CTCOG:

  • Subsection 17.5 has been amended to remove maximum amounts to the food and refreshment allowance for volunteers working at a casino event.
  • Please note:
    • Eligible volunteer expenses entered in CasinoTrack are limited to food and beverages consumed by volunteers within the casino during the licensed casino event. No other volunteer expenses (e.g., parking) can be included; and
    • The volunteer food and refreshment costs are an eligible expense that is paid from event revenue. Charities may choose to manage this expense within their own policy.

The amended CTCOG may be accessed online. Additional information regarding AGLC's commitment to a modern regulatory environment that supports consumer choice, innovation and economic growth can be found at aglc.ca/modernization.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.
