As of February 22, 2024, AGLC will no longer register alcohol containers with the BCMB on behalf of the liquor agencies. We are currently experiencing system issues that may potentially delay the alcohol container registration process. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are actively working to resolve the issue. Learn More
Alcohol Container Registration
Effective February 22, 2024, liquor agencies are responsible to register any alcohol containers directly with the Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB) through its new registration portal.
Liquor agencies are not required to re-enter existing agency account information or container registrations that were completed on their behalf by AGLC, prior to February 22, 2024.
Agencies will continue to register their products with AGLC in the same manner they currently do; however, the information required for container registration will now be provided directly to the BCMB by agencies.
How to register
Before you begin your product registration on AGLC’s Liquor Agency Portal, please go to the BCMB alcohol container registration for steps on how to register your container. All the necessary container information will then be sent electronically from the BCMB’s portal to the Liquor Agency Portal once you’ve entered your BCMB registration number.
AGLC and the BCMB will work with liquor agencies throughout the transition and after the launch of the new system to provide support with this process change.
