Responsible gambling

In Alberta, we all have a role to play in being socially responsible.

At AGLC, being responsible means providing policies, regulations, program tools and resources that educate and inform Albertans on responsible gambling. We want every Albertan who gambles, to use their GameSense.

If you would like to speak to a GameSense Advisor about your gambling habits or to access additional GameSense resources to help keep gambling fun, please call:

For gambling providers

For our industry providers, being responsible means not only complying with the Regulations, it means patrons are encouraged to have fun and make informed choices about their gambling. We want healthy and sustainable gamblers who play for fun. GameSense is a responsible gambling program that provides many resources and tools. Some of these are mandatory and must be posted in every venue including VLT locations.

Our resources for gambling providers can help you encourage healthy gambling behaviours. Check out our GameSense website where there are many resources, tools and videos available.

Self-Exclusion Program

If you find yourself gambling too much, or if it no longer feels like a game, the Self-Exclusion Program can be an important first step in helping you control your gambling.

More information and resources can be found on the Self-Exclusion Program section.
