The Canmore & Area Health Care Foundation was created in 2000 and exists solely to support the Canmore General Hospital. Funds raised throughout the years have supported equipment purchases, ongoing patient programs, professional development for staff and capital projects. Recently $200,000 worth of equipment was purchased for the hospital, some of which was raised through raffles and casinos. The purchases include an endoscopy monitor, century tub, hysteroscope, blanket warmer, patient lifts, phlebotomy chair, vital signs monitors, sleeper sofas, ceiling lifts, medication fridge, surgical stretchers, the list goes on. We work hard to meet the growing demands of our hospital with a focus on enhancing the quality of the patient care experience. Every dollar donated towards our cause makes a difference in the lives of many.
