The Charitable Gaming Model Review launched in 2019 with an online survey.
To help AGLC gain a better understanding of charitable organizations’ experiences with AGLC and the Charitable Gaming Model, more than 6,700 licensed charitable organizations were sent the survey.
Over 3,800 organizations responded; a 57 per cent response rate.
Licensed charitable and religious organizations identified the following as key areas for improvement to the Charitable Gaming Model:
- wait times for charitable casino events;
- charitable organizations’ authorized use of proceeds from gaming events;
- distribution of charitable gaming proceeds from charitable casino events; and
- volunteer requirements (charitable casinos).
