Their Story
For many people with disabilities, many barriers exist preventing them from performing everyday tasks. These barriers range from gaining wheelchair access to a restaurant, to social or employment barriers.
Voices of Albertans with Disabilities is a provincial non-profit organization dedicated to promoting policies, programs, practices and procedures that guarantee equal opportunity for all individuals with disabilities; empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, independent living, inclusion and integration into all aspects of society and community life.
AGLC funding is an important pillar in the non-profit world in Alberta and without this type of funding it would be difficult to assist, support and find solutions to the challenges that impact their daily lives.
