Policy Amendment – Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines Handbook Modernization

Racing Entertainment Centre Bulletin

February 1, 2024

This bulletin is to advise all racing entertainment centre facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines. The following policies are effective February 1, 2024.

  • These amendments follow up on AGLC’s 2020‐2022 RECTCOG red tape reduction reviews, which saw numerous policies either amended or removed to provide industry stakeholders with increased flexibility and efficiency in running their operations.
  • Consequently, these changes substantially reduced the size of the RECTCOG and therefore required realignment in the layout and organization of the content.
  • The RECTCOG has gone through an extensive consolidation of its content; as well as a complete reorganization of the handbook’s layout to present its content in a logical and user‐friendly format for AGLC stakeholders.
  • The RECTCOG Reorganization Framework and Summary of Key Amendments are attached. AGLC will be coordinating with facility licensees as part of the implementation of the revised handbook.

The amended Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines may be accessed on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca. Additional information regarding AGLC’s commitment to a modern regulatory environment that supports consumer choice, innovation and economic growth can be found on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca/modernization.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AGLC’s Regulatory Services Division or call AGLC Hotline at 1‐800‐561‐4415.
