Video Lottery Terminal Bulletin

This bulletin is to advise all video lottery terminal retailers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Liquor Licensee Handbook (LLH). The following policies are effective March 24, 2023.
- AGLC is committed to reviewing policies to meet the needs of stakeholders, while maintaining an effective regulatory environment. As a result, the following policy amendments have been made to Sections 8.4 and 10.20 of the LLH:
- 8.4 Licensee Promotions: a minor amendment has been made to clarify policy which accommodates competitions, contests, draws, giveaways or similar promotions.
- 10.20 Signage, Advertising and Promotions: Advertising and promotion policies have been updated to provide retailers with basic guidelines when considering advertising and promotions.
- VLT retailers will now be permitted to offer customers free food or non-alcoholic beverages without prior AGLC approval. All other advertising and promotions will still require prior AGLC approval.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your LLH as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
