Policy Amendments – Casino Advisor Conduct and Gratuities Policy

April 26, 2022

This bulletin is to advise all casino facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (CTCOG). The following CTCOG policies are effective April 26, 2022.

  • These amended policies include changes that provide industry stakeholders with increased clarity:
    • Subsection 6.3.7 was amended to provide clarification that casino advisors must not act on behalf of the casino facility licensee in casino customer service and in other types of casino business activities. Casino advisors also must not accept any form of tips or gratuities.
    • Subsection 9.14 was amended to better clarify the handling of funds requirements and AGLC’s oversight with respect to the casino facility licensee’s tip policy.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your CTCOG as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.

The amended CTCOG may be accessed on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca. Additional information regarding AGLC’s commitment to a modern regulatory environment that supports consumer choice, innovation and economic growth can be found on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca/modernization.
