Cannabis Bulletin

March 27, 2020

This bulletin is to advise all cannabis licensees of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook (RCSH).

Effective immediately, cannabis products may be sold to another licensee in the event of a permanent closure and products may be transferred between stores that are owned by the same entity.

The following sections of the RCSH have been updated to reflect the changes:

The amended policies may be accessed on AGLC’s website.

Stores that are owned by the same entity and that want to transfer cannabis product to other co-owned stores, in accordance with this policy, are welcome to submit a request to inspections.mailbox@aglc.ca

These requests are to be accompanied by a completed cannabis product transfer form, which can be found at: https://aglc.ca/forms/cannabis-product-transfer-form.

The request will be reviewed to ensure it complies with AGLC policies and the requesting licensee will be notified when it may proceed with the transfer.

As per Federal cannabis monthly reporting requirements, retailers that transfer cannabis products will be required to report the transfer as outlined on AGLC’s Cannabis Portal at https://cannabisportal.aglc.ca/.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policy and ensure affected staff are notified of this change.

If you have any questions, please contact AGLC’s Compliance Branch at inspections.mailbox@aglc.ca.
