How much does the Reel Facts program cost?
There is no charge to take the Reel Facts program.
Can I print the Reel Facts program from your website?
No, the program cannot be printed from the website.
Reel Facts program content belongs to AGLC and is protected by copyright. Material may not be reproduced, in whole or in part, without the written consent of AGLC.
I want to use some of the information in the Reel Facts program. Do I need AGLC's permission before I use it?

How long on average does it take to complete this course?
On average, this course takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Time to complete the course depends on individual learning styles and preferences.

What are the minimum system requirements?
System Requirements
The AGLC Learning Management System (LMS) supports the following browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari by Apple
Google, Apple and Mozilla release continuous updates to their Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers. We make every effort to fully test and support the latest versions as they’re released.
If your browser version is no longer supported by the vendor, it may not be supported by AGLC’s LMS platform.
Sound card, speakers and a stable, high-speed Internet connection are recommended.
Note: Restrictions placed on public or corporate systems, applications or mobile devices may restrict learners' access to program or exam content, or limit some functions on the SMART Programs' websites. Contact your IT professional for assistance or use a computer or device without these restrictions.

I registered for the Reel Facts online program, but now I can't find it. Where is it?
Sign in to your account.
From the Home page, scroll down to My Learning Assignments. In this section you will find all the courses you have purchased or assigned to your account that need to be completed. Select Start Course or Continue Course as required.
You must successfully complete your program within 30 of the date and time of registration.

I just registered for my online program. How many days do I have to get certified?
You have 30 days from the date and time of registration to complete all program requirements and pass the exam.
Do I have to finish the program in one sitting?
No, you may enter and exit the program, sign in and out of your account, etc. as often as you like within 30 days from the date and time of registration. Your program access ends after the 30th day.
For your security, always sign out of your account when you leave, especially when using a public or shared computer/mobile device.
The online exam is timed. The clock cannot be stopped once the exam begins. If you accidentally close the test window, you can reopen it if the time limit has not expired. Completing the test in a single sitting is recommended.
FAQs about the online exam
How long is the test? Is there a time limit?
The exam has 15 questions. You have 30 minutes to take the exam. A total of five (5) exam attempts are given to you with each online program registration.
Once I start the test, can I exit and come back to it later?
If you accidentally close the test window, you can reopen it if the time limit has not expired.
Once the exam timer has started, you cannot go back into the program to look for answers to the questions.
If you have extra time at the end, review each of your answers. Click on the Submit Exam button at the end when you are satisfied with the answers you've chosen to submit your test for marking.
Does the test need to be supervised?
The Reel Facts online program is designed so that users can get their certification without the assistance of a third party. The test is a closed book exam. Use of resources or supporting materials is not permitted. Completion of the test does not require a supervisor.
How do I know if I passed my test?
When you submit your exam attempt, a message will appear on the screen within a few seconds, stating that you have passed or that you did not pass the test. Read this message carefully.
If you passed, you can get proof of your certification right away. Either print a copy of your certificate, or save an image on your mobile device/phone.
An exam score of 80% or higher is required to be certified with Reel Facts.
If I fail the exam, can I try it again?
Yes, you can! You have five (5) attempts to pass the final exam. You may take the test again, but we strongly encourage you to review the program before making another attempt.
SMART Programs cannot provide feedback on specific test questions.
If I do not pass the five exam attempts, what happens?
If you do not pass the five (5) exam attempts, you will need to register again for the Reel Facts online program and retake the course from the beginning. You will again have five (5) attempts to pass the exam to receive your certification.
FAQs about your certification
What is proof of certification?
Licensee staff must provide proof of certification at the request of an AGLC Inspector. Failure to present proof of Reel Facts certification may result in disciplinary action.
Proof of certification includes:
- printed certificate version
- digital image (i.e., photograph or screenshot) saved to the staff member's digital device/phone
Each of these shows the worker's legal name, SMART Number, and certification completion date.
Can I get proof of my certification after I pass the test?
Proof of your certification is saved to your SMART Programs account for five (5) years from the date you were certified. From your account homepage, click "My History" and select the printer icon beside the course. For detailed instructions contact smartprograms@aglc.ca.
Licensee staff must provide proof of certification at the request of an AGLC inspector.
FAQs about recertification
Does my certification expire? How do I renew it?
Yes, your certification expires five (5) years from the "completion" date stated on your certification card. Workers must renew before their certificate expires. To renew, purchase the course, complete all course content, assignments, final exam and survey.
An exam score of 80% or higher is required to be certified with Reel Facts.
How will I know when to renew my certification?
An email will be sent to the address on your SMART Programs account, reminding you that your certification will expire within 60 days.
