How do I enroll in a course?

Sign in to your account. From the Home page either select an online course from the AGLC Certifications list or search "GAIN Webinars" using the Find Learning feature.

Online courses: Click on Start Course.

Webinars: Click on Search in the Find Learning feature when you have selected a webinar from the dropdown list. Then click on Assign to Me. An email confirmation will be sent to you with the webinar details.

What do the courses cost?

There is no fee to enroll in the online courses.

How long do I have to complete the courses?

You will have 30 days to complete the course. If you do not complete the course within 30 days, you will need to start again.

Are there specific software or browser requirements to run the online programs?

Minimum System Requirements:

The AGLC Learning Management System (LMS) supports the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari by Apple

Google, Apple, and Mozilla release continuous updates to their Chrome, Safari, and Firefox browsers. We make every effort to fully test and support the latest versions as they're released.

If your browser version is no longer supported by the vendor, it may not be supported by AGLC's LMS platform.

Who should take this course?

These courses are for people seeking information on charitable gaming in Alberta. It is recommended that they provide volunteers of charitable and religious groups with the opportunity to gain a better understanding about key information and policies related to charitable gaming activities.

Do I have to complete all courses? How do I know which courses I should take?

No, you don't have to take all courses. You can participate in one, or all courses based on your specific interests or needs.

What is an AGLC ID number?

Your AGLC ID is a unique 4, 5 or 6 digit number that was issued when your charitable organization was granted eligibility. The number appears on your correspondence from AGLC following the name of your charity.
