Liquor Bulletin
December 11, 2025
This bulletin is to advise all registered liquor agencies that a review of the Liquor Agency Handbook (LAH) was recently undertaken. Amendment highlights include:
- Adding a new Abandoned Product section (Section 3.14) addressing liquor products that have not had any sales for lengthy periods of time.
- Adding new policy (Section 3.13) prohibiting agencies with outstanding warehouse charges from bringing any new products into the warehouse. This change will be effective April 1, 2026.
- Removing administrative requirements in Section 3.1: Product Registration.
- Manual product registration is only required for variety packs due to their unique composition.
- All other product registrations are completed online using the Liquor Agency Portal. This change reduces manual handling and accelerates the processing times.
- Eliminating duplication:
- Section 4.9 has been removed as its content is already addressed in Section 5.6: Product Sampling for Licensees.
- Operational requirements that were repeated in multiple sections have been removed to improve clarity and reduce redundancy.
- Re-numbering the sections to no longer include previously deleted sections.
