Smoking at Host First Nation Casino Facilities

This bulletin is to advise all casino facility licensees of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines. The following policy(ies) are effective October 13, 2023.

  • In keeping with Government of Alberta red tape reduction initiatives, these amended policies include changes related to facility standards at First Nation casinos and slot machine allocation:
    • Subsection 16.2.4 requiring the division of the gaming floor into non-smoking and smoking areas has been removed from policy.
