In keeping with Government of Alberta red tape reduction initiatives, the amended policies align with current regulatory practices, removes repetitive policy, and ensures efficiency in running their operations:
- Section 1 Hours of Operation (i.e., hours of operation, and scheduling requirements, Christmas Day operations, and flexible slot hours, etc.) was amended to align with updates made to CTCOG.
- Section 3 was amended to clarify role assignment through CasinoTrack and streamline position descriptions of charity workers to increase flexibility for HFN charities to adapt to local needs for these positions.
- Section 4 was amended to update policies regarding handbook accessibility, condense Casino Facility and Service Agreement related policy and address advisor contract policy.
- Section 5 has been amended to remove redundant policy that was covered under the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act (GLCA) and regulations, the Casino Retailer Agreement or the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (CTCOG).
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your HFNCCPH as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
