Best Bar None is a voluntary accreditation program for liquor-licensed venues that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in service and safety. Edmontonians can determine if a venue is Best Bar None accredited through door signage and an accreditation plaque on display within the premises. Additionally, patrons can now use the Best Bar Finder, found at bestbarnone.ca, to easily search for bars in their area that are accredited.
The program aims to reduce alcohol-related harms by raising the standards of licensed premises and building positive relationships among all stakeholders, promoting the responsible management and operation of liquor-licensed premises.
Best Bar None Edmonton is a partnership between Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Police Service, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services and Responsible Hospitality Industry Association with support from the Alberta Safer Bars Council.
