Casino and REC 24-Hour Liquor Service

Liquor Bulletin

March 26, 2026

This bulletin is to advise all Class A Casino/REC licensed premises that policies in the Liquor Licensee Handbook (LLH) have been amended following a pilot project permitting 24-hour liquor service to align with operation of 24-hour slots

The following policies in the LLH are effective immediately:

  • Liquor service may be provided 24 hours a day when slot operations also run 24 hours per day.
  • 24-hour liquor service applies only in the gaming activity areas (slot floor, table games and adjacent bar stations that serve active gaming).
  • Hotel/banquet rooms, entertainment venues located inside the licensed premises and off-sales are exempt from 24-hour liquor service, unless authorized by AGLC.

Class A Casino/REC licensed premises that do not run slots continuously (24 hours per day) are subject to the following conditions:

  • Liquor service must cease one hour prior to slot operations ending; and
  • During the final hour of liquor service, a patron may have no more than two standard servings of liquor in their possession.

The amended LLH may be accessed online.
