A cannabis representative registration is not transferable.

A proposed sale, assignment or transfer of a portion of a cannabis representative:

that is a sole proprietorship, a partnership or a corporation, that is not a distributing corporation, as defined in the Business Corporations Act, and
-
under which the activities authorized by a registration are carried out;
Must be reported to AGLC and approved by AGLC prior to the effective date of the sale, assignment or transfer. AGLC may approve the sale, assignment or transfer of a portion of the business and may impose conditions on the registration.

A sale, assignment or transfer of 5% or more of a business:

that is a distributing corporation as defined in the Business Corporations Act; and
-
under which the activities authorized by a registration are carried out;
Must be reported to AGLC by the licensee within 10 business days after the effective date of the sale, assignment or transfer and must be approved by AGLC.

- AGLC may, in respect of a sale, assignment or transfer requiring its approval,
- approve it without conditions;
- approve it subject to conditions;
- approve it subject to the variation or rescission of existing conditions; or
- refuse to approve it.
