REC Bulletin

Policy Amendments – CasinoLink & Slot Data System

February 2, 2021

This bulletin is to advise all racing entertainment centre (REC) facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (RECTCOG). The following RECTCOG policies are effective February 2, 2021.

Sections 5, 6, and 10:

  • All policies related to the old CasinoLink system have been removed from AGLC policy
    • CasinoLink policies are no longer relevant since all facilities have now been converted to the Slot Data System (SDS) as part of the Casino Management System (CMS) update project.
  • Policies were also amended to reflect current SDS processes and terminology, including:
    • the term “validated” was changed to “redeemed” to describe TITO tickets that have been processed by a cashier, slot machine, or ticket redemption kiosk (TRK);
    • slot count room attendant duties regarding soft count procedures were amended to align with current process used in SDS; and
    • requirements for employee cards, gaming terminal key(s), and log entries were amended to ensure that registered gaming workers must sign out and return their own employee card and assigned gaming terminal key(s) for their shifts.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your RECTCOG as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.

The amended RECTCOG may be accessed on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AGLC’s Key Account Coordinator or call the AGLC Hotline at 1-800-561-4415.
