Racing Entertainment Centre Bulletin

This bulletin is to advise all racing entertainment centre facility licensees of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines. The following policies are effective March 28, 2024.
Following AGLC's consultation and review of policies for the relocation of existing licensed gaming facilities, these amended policies provide AGLC's updated requirements and processes for relocations as follows:
- Section 2.4 – Objections policies have been amended to better clarify AGLC's objection process and increase the timelines for submitting and responding to objections.
- Section 12 – Policies related to the application process for new licensed REC facilities have been amended to align with changes made in section 8.3.
- Section 13.3 – Relocation of a REC Facility policies have been amended to provide a clear and concise application process for relocating a licensed REC facility within its current market area, as determined by AGLC, including:
- relocation eligibility;
- application requirements;
- application assessment process (e.g., cannibalization tolerance, AGLC's return on investment);
- issuing public notices; and
- licensing approval and construction.
