Minors Permitted in a Licensed Facility

This bulletin is to advise all racing entertainment centre facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (RECTCOG). The following policies are effective July 2, 2024.

AGLC is committed to reviewing policies to meet the needs of stakeholders, while maintaining an effective regulatory environment. As a result, policy amendments have been made to Section 3 of the RECTCOG:

• Subsection 3.1 has been amended to align with changes to legislation permitting minors to enter or be in a licensed facility.
• Licensed gaming facilities with multiuse facilities who request and are approved to permit minors to enter or be in the licensed facility, will have conditions placed on the facility licence.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.
