Policy Amendments – Hours of Operation
December 1, 2021
This bulletin is to advise all racing entertainment centre (REC) facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Racing Entertainment Centre Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (RECTCOG). The following RECTCOG polices are effective December 1, 2021.
- In keeping with Government of Alberta red tape reduction initiatives, these amended policies include changes that provide industry stakeholders with increased flexibility and efficiency in running their operations:
- Subsection 1.6.1 was amended to provide for the use of VLTs during the hours the location is open to the public and the Class A Minors Prohibited liquor licence is in effect. This amendment enhances the ability for REC facility licensees to tailor their options to their specific business needs.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your RECTCOG as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
