Video Lottery Terminal Bulletin
September 29, 2022
This bulletin is to advise all video lottery terminal (VLT) retailers and Gaming Entertainment Centres (GECs) of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Licensee Handbook. The following policies are effective September 29, 2022.
- AGLC is creating new business opportunities by:
- introducing a new type of VLT retailer, the Airport Entertainment Centre (AEC), which will offer VLTs in minors prohibited areas in certain international airport terminals on the post‐security side; and
- increasing the maximum number of VLTs in AGLC’s distributed network to 6,098 VLTs from 6,000.
All VLT‐related policy for VLT retailers, GEC retailers, and AEC retailers has been reorganized into one section, Section 10, to reduce duplication.
The amended Licensee Handbook may be accessed on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca. Additional information regarding AGLC’s commitment to a modern regulatory environment that supports consumer choice, innovation and economic growth can be found on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca/modernization.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Licensee Handbook as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact AGLC’s Hotline at 1‐800‐561‐4415.
