This bulletin is to advise registered liquor agencies of amendments to the Liquor Agency Handbook (LAH) regarding agency transfers.
AGLC has amended Section 3.18 of the LAH to clarify that:
- For agency transfers that involve transferring some, but not all, products represented by a current agency under an existing Letter of Authorization (LOA), AGLC requires a letter of release from the current agency to complete an agency transfer, unless there is no remaining inventory of any products listed on the current LOA.
- Where there is no inventory of any product (i.e., all products listed on the existing LOA), AGLC can process the agency transfer without written release of the products from the current agency.
