Prairie Tractor & Engine Museum Society

Charity Story

Prairie Tractor & Engine Museum annually hosts close to 1000 grade one to three children through their school program, which runs from mid-May until the end of June. The program teaches kids what it was like to be in school in 1910, tour a full village, go for a nature walk to visit a mine site, and then spend an hour climbing on some real old tractors and an old-time school playground. The kids learn about pioneer history, farming, nature, and all the while having fun and expending energy.

Prairie Tractor & Engine Museum uses funding from AGLC to ensure the children get have the best possible experience and to ensure the museum keeps running for years to come.

The museum organizes many other shows, events and tours, but its Alberta's kids - Alberta's future - who they say make it all worthwhile.
