Their Story
Hope Haven is an emergency and second stage shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We provide shelter, basic necessities, support, and programming. We also have outreach support for those at the shelter, in addition to surrounding Aboriginal Reserves and Metis Settlements.
Hope Haven has benefited from AGLC’s support through the use of casino and raffle funding. Programming is such a huge part for the women and children who stay with us at Hope Haven. Without AGLC’s support we would not have the essential equipment required to run the programs as we are limited in what we can do with our core funding. AGLC allows us to further assist women in bettering the lives of their families and themselves.
