First Nations Gaming Policy
The First Nations Gaming Policy was introduced in 2001. It is based on Alberta’s unique charitable gaming model.
According to the policy, First Nation casinos are to be located on reserve land, regulated by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission and must operate under the same terms and conditions as off-reserve casinos.
